Lady Trent was fascinated by flying creatures from a young age. She once dicected a bird and her dad gave her a book about bird anatomy. She couldn't let her mom know cause girls shouldn't read science books. i guess cause it's a sin or whatever bs the patriarchal structure used to oppress women. Anyway, her brother was cool and got her more books. One even about dragons. Pretty cool.
Ch 2
When she was 14 a Drake was found on their property and she blackmailed one of the help into sneaking her onto the hunt party dressed as a boy. Because she's the main character of the book, the Drake attacked her.
Ch 3
It's Engagement season and Isabella Hendemore is now eligible. She ends up engaged to Jacob Camherst, who is also a dragon enthusiast.
Ch 4
They meet an old man that's gonna go on a dragon vacation.
Ch 5
She convinces husband to let her come along on the dragon vacation.
Ch 6
She and husband convince old man to let her come on the trip.
Ch 7
It's a bit of a journey to get to dragonlandia. Narrator feels like she grew up a bit during the journey. When they get to dragonlandia it does not disappoint. Before they get to their hotel, they are attacked by a dragon and their driver is messed up real bad. This is real mysterious cause dragons don't generally attack people unprovoked. Also their guide isn't at the hotel like he said he'd be. Mysteries stacked on mysteries.
Ch 8
The next part of the mission here is to try to find out where the dragons live to do some more closed up investigation. So they're watching the dragons from affar hoping to recognize moment patterns to try to maybe watch them from slightly less afar in the future.
Ch 9
Narrator sees some people making out late at night and decides to follow thean around. But she's not great at this and the man she's following gets the jump on her. Oh wait, it's another guy. They're smugglers. They take her back to her camp and it turns out she kinda knows their language and she explains to them that her group is here to study dragons and after a bit of convincing they believe her and the million dollar question is can her group stop the dragons from attacking people and she's like hells yeah and they agree to take her back to her hotel in the morning.
