Teia is invisible and waiting to catch karris alone. But karris is whining about having to freee gavin grayling. So teia decides to go on her mission to destroy the broken eye without saying anything to karrris.

Kip doesn't wanna kill the bear man even though he deserted and the penalty for that is death. Kips idea is to give him a knife so he can kill himself.

Flashback to Kip's grandpa who is really his dad working with gavins mom trying to figure out the lightbringer prophecy. He seems to be convinced it's one of their sons. Im pretty sure it's kip. I hope the kills father and father and father and son means kips kills andross and Zymon.

Kip and company find a village that zymon has slaughtered. They know this cause they didn't kill the children and one guy stumbled across the village and tried to do what he could.

Teia is keeping an eye on the safehouse where she killed that guy and eventually a slave shows up to do some cleaning. She fillows him home digs through some things and finds a shirt with an insignia that leads her to believe it was her old owner that owns this guy. She's going to enjoy murdering that lady.

Kip and company make it to Karris's brother camp and theyre already gone. Then they have a fun talk about how even if they get back to the Chromeria and they beat karris's brother kips grandpa who's really his dad or his half brother zynon who's really his nephew will kill him.

Teia has been spying on her old owner. Shes in the order all right. But her motivation is to get vengence on the guiles. Fat chance. Even so teia follows an associate of her.old.owner and kills him. She is sad and lonely.

Kip figures out the mirror Liv told him about was under ground. Would have been useful if Karris's brother's army was still here.

Kid's dad is the worst. He didn't actually take anything karris told him about zymon to heart. He told zymon that karris hated him and he didn't understand. So zymon attacks karris and a black guard shows up to save the day.

Quentin tells teia all the stuff that karris and her spies were able to figure out. They know who this mysterious wine merchant that's in the order is. Also every tower in the chromeria is taller than the original plans so there must be all sorts of hidden rooms. Somehow teia figures the old man that controls the order, just have a secret room in Andross guile's tower.

Each lap around the giant tower is another of the seven deadly signs gavin has to face. With each one he can feel that a person that could draft a specific color wouldn't be able to get through. Orlam tells him he's not taking part because he's here to support gavin. Then when he's done orlam is gonna do the thing by himself.
Also we think gunner might be dead because orlam told him he prophesied that gunner would live. So gunner swam through shark infested waters expecting to make it.

Ben hedad and teia are snooping around the chromeria trying to find the hidden office of the old man that controls the broken eye. They think they've found it hidden behind the elevator shaft between floors. But its boobytrap'd. They are gonna ask the smartest person they know to help them figure it out.
But my favorite part of this chapter is when theyre talking about the battle that's going to happen tomorrow and very matter of factly Quentin says that God is going to show up and save us.

They're all worried he's gonna propose marriage and how's that gonna work out. But no, he proposes death. A guile has to die. And it cant be zymon. Ironfist knows all about zymon.

Teia goes to kip. But kip isn't there. He tells tsis and cruxer that ironfist is in the order and she knows cause she's the one that killed his sister. Cruxer leaves, presumably to do something rash.

Ironfist is really here to save gavin. He sneaks out to do so, but cruxer is laying in wait for him. They fight. Cruxer dies. Ironfist is bleeding heavily from his wounds. Maybe he will also die.

She and kip talk about their feelings and that karris is gonna be the one that dies. It is wild that anyone would think this chapter has any meaning to anyone after the previous chapter.

This chapter is nuts. Ironfist somehow makes it from where he fought cruxer to Gavin's prison. In said prison he figures out the imaginary friends in each cell is the remains of a god of that color that Gavin captured and imprisoned here. A prison he made for the brother that was already dead.
This chapter sharpens the point that Gavin is out of his mine to as sharp as it can possibly be. Nothing Gavin says can be taken at face value. So in his chapter when he got to the top and God wasn't there, if you believed it then its understandable, but if you believe it now, you really shouldn't.
Then somehow ironfist's dead brother carry's him out and somebody finds him and takes him to a healer.

They're doing the ceremonial killing of Karris even though Ironfist isn't there to see it. Zymon is excited to be the one to kill Karris. They're about to do it and Andross says to stop. Zymon's gonna do it anyway so Kip grabs his knife hand and elbows him in the face. Zymon is escorted out. Then a black guard comes running to tell them to stop.

Teia is the one that found ironfist and brought him to the chamber where they're doing the thing. Ironfist is all confused as to how cruxer knew he would be there. He thinks maybe someone in the order told him. Also he te)ls teia that grinwoody is the head of the broken Eye. She tries to run after grinwoody but he gets away.

She goes to grinwoody's secret spot and waits for him. But she's exhausted and falls asleep. When she wakes up she finds the room is open and Ben hedad and the lady helping him with the code breaking are in the room unconscious. So is murder Sharpe. He tells her how nice he is being in that he didn't kill her friends.

They are talking about war. It's pretty cool how good danavis is at this.

Teia is still alive. What the seer said to murder Sharpe before he killed her really has him shook. He speaks to teia of how he had fantasized that they might end up having a romantic relationship and living happily ever after. Shes alive for one reason. He wants one of her teeth. He tells her how he's gonna sedate her in such a way that when the sun comes up and her eyes dilate when she sees the sun, she will die. She says she will willingly let him take her tooth if he promises to protect her father. He agrees. Also, the order has decided to side with koios. They're gonna sabotage the defenses right before the planned time of the attack.

Cruxer's body is found and its sad.

TWIST, Teia has filled that tooth with poison and it kills murder Sharpe.
Shes got lots of work to do.

Andross summons all the mighty to give them prebattle gifts. Armor and weapons. He gives Kip his seven kings card. KIP says he's not gonna use it.

She wakes up and realizes she's spent most of the day unconscious. She finds the wine guy and poisons the wine the order is planningtodrink. But she also impersonated the poison taster. So she's in quite the pickle.

She just drinks the wine. Shes gonna die. But maybe she'll take out the order with her.

Teia shows up and tells him she's dying.

He's gonna give some sort of Sunday speech. He's nervous. He feels a little silly being nervous when war is hours away. But that's how he feels.
105 GAVIN!!!!!!!
Sunday morning and the sun looks weird and doubles. Gavin thinks it's a mirror trick. But he moves toward it. Without the knife. He's walking towards God knows what. Then the sun turns into a pair of eyes and a man and gavin really regrets not bringing the knife. They fight. Gavin figures out it's not God. It's the first prism lucidonious. Gavin says he's here to replace him.
Really hoping he does and then gunner shows up and kills him.

Its kips viewpoint but this chapter is really about teia and Quentin. It's a little about kip and how andross hasn't declared him lightbringer yet cause the prophesy says others try and fail and then the light bringer succeeds. I assume this means zymon and andross will try and fail and then kip will make the mirrors work to save the day.
Teia is presumably already dead from the poison. We expect the broken eye to make their move any minute. Quentin is giving his speech about how orhalam will save them and sinners will pay. An army man decides now is the time to act and he shouts something and then attacks Kip. But he is bleeding out of his eyes from the poison teia put in the ceremonial wine all the broken eyes drank. So his attack isn't all that powerful and also big Leo whacks him in the head with the chain weapon andross gave him.

Lucidonious is annoyingly strong.
They keep fighting and as the sun gets stronger so did Lucidonious. Gavin has a great idea, maybe he will lose power when the sun goes down. But its 10 am. And it's the longest day of the year.
Also, I don't understand why lucidonious doesn't draft and kill gavin right quick. Like how superman never seems to use his lazer vision. He could take out most anyone with it. But he very rarely does.

The attack is happening. Danovis tells kip to get to tower 12 for two reasons. 1 they wanna separate their leaders so if one goes down another can take over rather than being killed in the same attack. 2 to keep an eye out for the bane. Kip needs to see it and signal danovis the second he sees it to alert the army to switch from luxin fighting to gun fighting.

I think she's taking the ultraviolet bane and making it fly above the cromeria.

He sees the orange bane coming. But it doesn't attack directly, it attacks by sending fear. It's pretty awesome.

She goes to the chromeria's central chamber thinking theyre all gonna go through the plan together. But no, only the blue is there. He tells her they made zymon prism. Also that's only in position. They dont have the blinding knife so they cant do the ceremony.
That's the plan though. All these people hate the guiles. They expect zymon to burn out using the mirror and somehow that will lead to the downfall of the guiles.

They somehow get their heads about them and start fighting in earnest. It's an absolute massacre. Nothing koios sends at them is effective. Everything ends up on fire from either cannons or barrels full of red luxin they fling at the enemy to light them on fire.
Also there's a summons from Andross. Everyone thinks its a trap. But they go anyway.

More wrestling with God. Gavin's figured it out though. God is trying to drag him into the mirror to the holy world. But then God turns into his younger brother that died.

Zymon is killing their people with the great mirror. Shes decided she needs to kill him personally. But when she goes to leave her room to do so trainer Fisk is there with 20 black guards to arrest her for treason.
115 gavin
Gavin's brother explains that he wasn't murderered by a blue whight like the story that was told. He was sacrificed to make the real Gavin The prism. You see, they dont find the prism anymore. Not for a long time. What they do is find one of their own that they want to make prism and then they have the prism stab 7 children to steal their power. But Gavin's little brother was an omnicrome so they only needed to sacrifice one child.
But then things get interesting in the intervening years when dazen doesn't need to steal power from children to be the Prism. He's a natural prism. His mom and dad kill a bunch of people to keep his secret.
116 kip
Kip goes down to the back dock like he was told to. Andross says its because the lightbringer has to be on the back dock when the banes make landfall according to prophecy. A messenger comes to tell them Zymon's gone crazy. Andross is all, duh, kill him then. They're like ohhh, ugh, ok, I guess. Seeing this kip is like, fuck sitting on the dock of the bay wasting time, I gotta go stop zymon.
Then it switches to andross's inner monologue. If kip does stop zymon and he can save them with the mirror, he's the lightbringer. If not, maybe he fails just like zymon and andross saves the day cause he's the lightbringer.
117 gavin
He decides to kill himself with the blinding knife. His little brother is like, if you're gonna kill yourself, at least see what's on the other side of the mirror first. He does, its a beautiful paradise. I'm leaning toward thinking this is heaven.
He comes back and his brother is gone but orhalam the slave is there. He tells him the prison he made was for the evil immortals that he went out alone to capture. And it worked. He caught them all. But he knew he could also set them free. So he wiped his own memory and replaced it with the lie that Gavin was down in that prison.

In case you forgot, the whole of the cromeria is built on slavery and brutality they show you a scene from the mirror execution a year ago where the luxiat was executed and turned out to be an evil imortal. A slave is whipped bloody by another slave right before its to happen.

They actually put her in chains.
But its a ruse. Commander Fisk gets her out and unchained. But when the lift gets to the ground floor there's a bunch of dipshits. Aram is still a dipshit in case you forgot he existed. He tries to arrest karris, but there's a crowd and they have guns. So the dipshits dont get to do their dipshittery.
This book sucks. In fact, the last three books suck. The first two books were awesome and there was all this kickass magic fighting and it kicked ass. But now we're at the end and nobody is gonna fight with magic anymore. They're just gonna shoot guns. And not even that much.

That scene with the slave being whipped was a vision orhalan made him see. They talk about how havin has lived his life. The basic punchline is that if he were more vulnerable things would have come crashing down around him. But many helping hands would have been happy to help him rebuild. He goes to the edge and he sees the slave orhalam still on the other side. Who are you talking to over there says the old ship slave. Gavin turns to the thing that has taken the form of the slave and says you're not orhalam. But then he says, but I am.

Here we are at the end and we're gonna have kip maybe get the jump on some light guards and there isn't even the suggestion that he might kill them with his magic powers.
No fight at all. They just go up and zymon i guess will be disposed of off screen while kip tries to save everyone with the magic mirrors.

He falls to his knees with the acceptance that this is in fact God in front of him.
He's completely failed in his mission. He's not even thinking about how to kill God. He's Just like, you're god and I trust you. God removes the black luxin that was his right eye. He asks what he wants and he's all free the sea demons that are former prisms. When God is all "you sure you dont want me to save your friends and families?" dazen is all "if you're God, you'll save them anyway."

He's kind of getting the hang of using the apparatus. He kills a couple colors. Things are going well.

Zymon and his psychos are attacking. They're doing a good job defending. But then something super weird happens. They kind of describe it how gavin described his minute in heaven.

The colors he thinks he killed come back. Another wight was able to step in and take their place. This just will not do. Kip figures out the only way to stop them is to destroy the seed Crystal's. But as he figures that out, Liv on the ultraviolet bane attacks from above. He almost loses control of the aparatus to her super powerful ultraviolet powers. But then he has some sort of vision where he realizes that not only are the bands and the wights the problem. But also each immortal evil God has clung to their color and they are teaching them how to use their power to the max. I wonder if these are the ones gavin had imprisoned and andross by putting gavin down there and making him have to escape unwittingly freed them.
Punchline: Kip destroys the ultraviolet seed crystal and maybe Liv with it.

Kip is getting good at.comtrolking the apparatus. The fight is going well. But zymon and his men break through kips black guard and its really horrible.

I guess this is another half karris half dazen chapter. I hate it. I also hate how small most of these are. The previous one was Pages. You're telling me that chapter and the dazen stuff on this chapter couldn't have just been a single chapter?
Anyway, I was wrong about the sea demons thing. Instead dazen almost lands on the top of the tower karris and her brother are on. BTW, koios created a giant blue luxin tower so he and his sister could talk about things alone. Dazen realizes he's not gonna stick the landing and decides to throw the blinding knife are koios.
Instead it lands in karris's hands and she stabs koios with it.
She sucks out all his luxin and he falls off the top of the tower. Another way to deprive me of magical fighting. Thanks for nothing brent.
Dazen is there barely holding onto the edge, he falls, Gill grayling catches him. I bet Brent is very proud of himself for the line "i lost one gavin, nagga lose another."

Andross is to be pronounced as the lightbringer. But he doesn't feel good about it. Also, im real confused as to who kips real dad is. But dazen wants to try to be his dad now. That's convenient cause he's married to Karris who at some point declared publicly that kip was her son.

I gotta give this chapter some props. One of my main criticisms of this book is that nobody seems to be enjoying themselves. Even the dipshits at the top like Andros. But here, he seems to be having a good time.

She and dazen are being romantic in preparation for their wedding. Or something like that. I didn't really pay that much attention. It's the last chapter, it doesn't matter. Maybe Adera will read it and explain it to me.

I'm not sure Brent knows what an Epilogue is. This is prep for Kip's wedding, which i understand is basically gonna happen right after Dazen's wedding. There's no good reason for this to not be chapter 152.

Teia has a happy ending.

Ironfist has a happy ending. In that he and Dazen go out and fuck shit up together and they love it.
